KZF Design is a national architectural, engineering, interior design and planning firm headquartered in Cincinnati. When KZF needed to expand, the City of Cincinnati’s Economic Development Division got to work. They worked with KZF to secure two easements on their property, enter into a lease of an unused alley and provide a property tax abatement to offset a portion of the costs of their new LEED building.
Because of this hard work, KZF announced in late 2008 that they will be renovating their headquarters at 700 Broadway and applying for LEED-Silver certification of the 36,000 sq ft building. The new space will employ nearly 100 people.
Since being elected to Council in 2005, Chris Bortz has been working to ensure that the City has a strong economic development operation. Chris is the Chair of the Economic Development Committee on Council and was the Chair of the GO Cincinnati study.
