Humana

Humana is one of the biggest insurance companies in the Midwest, with more than a half a million customers. In May 2007, the company decided it needed to expand. They decided to locate in Cincinnati because of the quality of the employee base in Greater Cincinnati and our central location relative to other Humana markets.

Humana moved nearly 1,200 employees into the Grand Baldwin building off Gilbert Avenue in Walnut Hills.
Then in late 2008, Humana announced it would add 700 more jobs in the region. It added 200 jobs to the Walnut Hills location and bought space off I-75 in West Chester and added 400 more.

This deal was negotiated by the City and influenced by the GO Cincinnati study, chaired by Chris Bortz, that targeted this neighborhood and industry as crucial for growth in the City.
